The City of Long Beach Career Transition Center and the Broad Spectrum Community Development Corporation hosted a great year opening for our January 2006 P.O.W.E.R. Collaborative Network (PCN) meeting. The PCN wishes to thank BJ Wills, Development Project Manager for the City of Long Beach for coordinating the meeting’s facility, and Donnicus Cook, Broad Spectrum Executive Director for hosting the meeting and providing such an energetic presentation.

Rosalyn Taylor O’Neale, a graduate of the University Of Louisville Kent School Of Social Work, delivered a passionate and informative overview on workforce diversity and practical methods for growth beyond the workplace. Donnicus Cook, Founder and President of Broad Spectrum Community Development Corporation, gave a very energetic and informative overview on the various areas where low to moderate-income families can receive tax-free credits form the Federal Government through their tax filings. The range of services provided by his organization include free income tax preparation, mainstream banking services, financial literacy workshops, electronic filing transmission support, small business development, housing development, and more.
