The City of Long Beach Career Transition Center and the Broad Spectrum Community
Development Corporation hosted a great year opening for our January 2006
P.O.W.E.R. Collaborative Network (PCN) meeting. The PCN wishes to thank BJ Wills, Development Project Manager for
the City of Long Beach for coordinating the meeting’s facility, and Donnicus Cook, Broad Spectrum Executive Director for hosting the meeting and providing
such an energetic presentation.

Spectrum Community Development Corporation, gave a very energetic and informative
overview on the various areas where low to moderate-income families can receive
tax-free credits form the Federal Government through their tax filings. The range of services provided by his organization
include free income tax preparation, mainstream banking services, financial
literacy workshops, electronic filing transmission support, small business
development, housing development, and more.

Rose Cote, from the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)
invites all business owners to a workshops for learning how to gain contracting
opportunities with LAWA. Seating is

Sheriff’s Department invites anyone interested (meeting the minimum
requirements of 19 ½ years of age, high school diploma/G.E.D., US Citizen,
valid identification, and no felony convictions), to make a reservation to
attend the testing for Deputy Sheriff Trainee at 8:00 AM on Saturday, February
25, 2006, Los Angeles Southwest College, 1600 W. Imperial Highway (LL Building)
