A special thanks goes to Pat Lamperallo, Phyllis Jasso, and Jeanellie Lambrada. for making time in their schedules to build such a great meeting.  Also, we want to congratulate Ms. Jeanellie M. Lambrada, as the newly selected Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist with the Veterans Administration.

Text Box: Tony Jaramillo, T&R Recruitment Services gave an excellent update on his new firm’s activities.  Mr. Jaramillo and Rhonda Rose have teamed to form a new workforce service firm assisting clients with placement, client development, and other related labor specified requirements.  Mr. Jaramillo shared a couple of current recruitment programs, one with the Business Communications Institute recruitment for training telecommunications/cabling opportunities. Gilda Rodriguez with the Neighborhood Housing and Legal Services, Inc. gave a systematic guide on how to clear an adult criminal record in California.  Ms. Rodriguez is very familiar and experienced with the necessary steps to correct records and how-to expunge criminal backgrounds.  The PCN attendees each received a booklet detailing the application and procedures.  The PCN members want to extend their appreciation to Ms. Rodriguez for giving that extra gracious level of networking support.  The Neighborhood Legal Services hotline is (800) 433-6251.  To contact Ms. Rodriguez directly, you may reach her at (818) 834-7539.

Text Box: Deidra Vandiegriff, from New Directions, Inc. gave an eye-opening presentation of the fine work conducted by her organization.  The amazing work conducted includes providing veterans in need with mental health services, drug and alcohol intervention, and related resource services in social and professional skills to help ease the challenges occurring with transitioning back to civilian life.

Helping Veterans for Over 15 Years

In addition, we want to thank Starbuck’s Coffee Company for donating the $40 worth of gift certificates that were shared during the business card drawing portion of the meeting.  Sharon Rochelle of DPSS, and Rochelle Oliver of Veterans Employment Services were the lucky recipients of the gift certificates.

Clearing Criminal Records

Northeast Valley WorkSource Center
