Meeting Summary
March 5, 2008The P.O.W.E.R. Collaborative Network (PCN) monthly meeting for March 2008 was hosted by the outstanding InterCoast Colleges. We are greatly appreciative for the Carson Campus for opening their doors to the PCN members. We want to thank Shirley Green of Career Services for InterCoast Colleges for making this such a memorable and successful network meeting. Ms. Green’s email address is sgreen@intercoast.edu
In addition, please allow the PCN members to thank Joe Amalbert, Director for InterCoast Colleges for supporting. Mr. Amalbert shared how InterCoast Colleges offer programs in medical assistance, alcohol and drug counseling studies, pharmacy technician, massage therapy, paralegal specialist, legal office assistant, business technology & administration, computerized accounting and more.
Barbara White, Senior Representative, ERG Community Care Services elevated an important area of helping people through transitions living from substance abuse. Her agency operates several transitional living centers and offers a wide variety of opportunities for people to get involved with assistance programs.
Emily Woodman-Nance, Progressive Coaching, shared a great opportunity regarding professional career coaching and certification. PCN started in January 2001, focused on job coordination for community residents in order to assist in public & private sector work placement. The PCN members are community builders serving to identify, nurture, & mobilize local assets by enhanced networking to rejuvenate economies, strengthen business investments, & ultimately build up civil society. The PCN meets monthly sharing job recruitment, funding, training, workforce projects, & other related topics at various member locations.
